NCAA Basketball Cinderella Hoopla Contest
Official Rules
TERM: Contest entries will be accepted until midnight, Tuesday, March 17, 2009.
PRIZE: Two winners will be selected. Winners will receive a 6-day/5-night vacation for two at Nisbet Plantation Beach Club in Nevis, West Indies. The prize includes luxurious accommodations for two including daily breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner.
ODDS OF WINNING: Odds of winning will be determined by the number of eligible and correct entries received. No purchase necessary to enter or win. Purchasing does not improve chances of winning.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CONTEST:
1. To Enter. Simply complete the contest form and click the "Submit" button to enter Nisbet Plantation’s 2009 NCAA Basketball Cinderella Hoopla Contest. Entrant must be the registered subscriber of the e-mail account from which the online entry is made. Only one entry per email address will be accepted.
2. Eligibility. Entrants must be 21 years or older on the date of entry. Employees and their families and those living in the same households of Nisbet Plantation employees and its affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, suppliers, and advertising and promotional agencies may not enter. Nevisian laws and regulations apply. This Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
3. Selection of Winners. Winners will be selected at random from all entries received that correctly predict the Cinderella NCAA Basketball team. One winner will be chosen for correctly predicting the Men’s NCAA Cinderella Basketball team and one winner will be chosen for correctly predicting the Women’s NCAA Cinderella Basketball team. Men’s and Women’s NCAA “Cinderella” Basketball teams will be determined by how long the team remains in the NCAA Basketball Championship and seed. In the event of a tie, the judges will make the final decision of both Men’s and Women’s 2009 NCAA “Cinderella” Basketball teams. If the Cinderella team for either the men’s or women’s Championship is not among those listed in the contest sign-up form, a winner will be selected at random from all entries submitted. Limit one prize per person. Winners may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility within 3 days of notification. Failure to return the affidavit in the time noted will result in disqualification of the entry and the random selection of an alternate winner. Nisbet Plantation may require winners to provide proof that they are the authorized account holders of the e-mail address used to enter the Nisbet Plantation First Annual Basketball Cinderella Hoopla Contest. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet service provider, online service provider, or organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the e-mail address. Any winner who does not comply with the Official Rules will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. Return of any prize or prize notification as "undeliverable" will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected.
4. Notification. Winners will be notified no later than April 15, 2009 by e-mail sent to the e-mail address submitted in the contest on Nisbet Plantation’s web site, and Nisbet Plantation is under no obligation to notify winners by any means other than e-mail. If a potential winner cannot be reached after a reasonable effort has been made during 5 business days from the first notification attempt, such person may be disqualified, with an alternate winner selected. Any prize notification or prize returned as undeliverable will result in the awarding of that prize to an alternate winner.
5. Redemption. Nisbet Plantation will mail a certificate of award to the appropriate winner’s home address supplied on the form upon entry in the contest. Prize must be taken before July 30, 2010. Reservation requests are subject to availability and certain blackout dates apply. Approximate retail value of prize: $2,500. All taxes and other expenses not expressly specified herein, including all transportation, are the sole responsibility of the winner (and winner's companion). Prize is not transferable and may not be substituted or redeemed for cash by winner.
6. Disclaimer. Entrant assumes all liability for any damages caused or claimed to be caused by participation in the Contest and/or the acceptance, awarding, receipt, use and/or misuse of the prize, and release Sponsor and its officers, directors, and employees, and Sponsor's marketing and promotional agencies from any such liability. Entering the Contest constitutes permission to Sponsor and its advertising and promotional agencies to use name, photo, and likeness of winner for advertising and publicity without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
7. Additional Rules. Nisbet Plantation is not responsible for: (a) telecommunication, network, electronic, technical or computer failures of any kind, for inaccurate transcription of entry information, for any human error, or for entries that are stolen, misdirected, garbled, delayed by computer transmissions, incomplete, illegible, corrupted, lost, late, or damaged, and all such entries are void; and (b) your inability to access the registration site, or any other error or malfunction which may occur, including any injury or damage to your or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in the Contest. By participating in the Contest, you agree to these official rules and the decisions of Nisbet Plantation. Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in disqualification from Contest. Nisbet Plantation reserves the right to permanently disqualify any person it believes has intentionally violated these rules from participating in the Contest. In the event the Contest is compromised or becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, that is beyond the control of Nisbet Plantation, Nisbet Plantation reserves the right to withdraw the transmission of the Contest and to select a winner from among all entries received up to the date of withdrawal.
8. Privacy Notice. Nisbet Plantation recognizes that you may be concerned about the personal and private information you provide us. Let us reassure you we treat it confidentially as your privacy is a primary concern to us. Our reputation depends on how we treat you. When you provide personal information, we will not give or sell it to any third party. We will maintain the confidentiality of your personal information.
